The row of four terrace houses, Dorset Terrace, at 114-120 Hotham Street, was erected in 1883 on a speculative basis by Ray Noble, a building contractor. Additions were carried out in 1887. The Noble family owned the premises until the late 1940s. The two storey rendered brick structure has two storey cast iron verandahs on the street facade and a cornice and balustrade with prominent name plate.
